This position will bring the latest in avionics technology to the aviation community, including airborne Wifi and Bluetooth connectivity, synthetic vision with full motion 3D views of the aircraft and surroundings and the latest in aviation apps developed by Avidyne and third parties. We are looking for an outgoing individual who has a passion for aviation, an aptitude for technology, the communication skills to introducing people with similar interests to our advanced technologies and enjoys the challenge of “closing a deal”. The ideal candidate will have experience with avionics systems and in sales. This position will call prospective customers to introduce and sell Avidyne products and services.


  • Serve as the lead point of contract for all customer account management matters
  • Make technical presentations, understand a customer’s avionic configuration, demonstrate how a product meets the customer’s needs and close sales.
  • Engage leads from CRM to develop a pipeline of customers resulting in Avidyne sales.
  • Build, develop and maintain long-term relationships with dealers
  • Assist with challenging dealer requests or issue escalations as needed Persuade dealers that Avidyne’s products are innovative and lead the market in value.
  • Answer dealer queries and identify new business opportunities
  • Act as the liaison between cross-functional internal teams (customer service and technical support)

Skills and Core Competencies:

  • Passion for aviation and to understand how avionics function (Avidyne offers employees assistance with flight training).
  • Desire to help dealers and customers transition from dated systems to newer innovative Avidyne solutions.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to build strong relationships with customers
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills and follow-up abilities.
  • Must be very comfortable in front of clients, closing key opportunities, as well as handling complex service delivery issues.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft suite (specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Education/Certifications/Licenses Required:

  • Minimum 2 year engineering degree (systems, software or electrical)
  • BS in an engineering (systems, software or electrical) or a related discipline preferred
  • Familiarity with aviation maintenance, avionics, airport management, flight following and ground school
  • Current IFR license or A&P license preferred


  • Technical sales experience preferred
  • Some aviation sales experience preferred


  • Attending industry trade shows; make dealer visits
  • Approximately 10-15%
