Avidyne Broadens Agreement with Extant Aerospace to Provide Exclusive Repair & Exchange Services for Entegra EXP5000 Primary Flight Displays
Extant Aerospace was previously appointed as worldwide repair center for Avidyne’s EX5000 MFDs; Partnership ensures long-term support for the large installed base of Entegra PFD & MFD equipped aircraft.
Lincoln, MA – Monday, February 22, 2016 –
Avidyne Corporation, a leading provider of integrated avionics and safety systems for general aviation aircraft, announced today that they have extended their licensing agreement with Extant Aerospace of Melbourne, Florida to provide exclusive aftermarket repair and exchange support for Avidyne’s Entegra EXP5000 primary flight displays (PFD). Extant Aerospace has been providing repair and exchange services for EX5000 Series multi-function displays (MFD) since October 2015.
Avidyne will continue to field initial EXP5000 PFD (and EX5000 MFD) service calls from authorized dealers and service centers, as well as from aircraft operators requiring information or assistance with product troubleshooting and new or existing AeroPlan® warranty prior to directing on to Extant for the appropriate level of support.
Under the terms of this expanded agreement, Extant will now have exclusive aftermarket repair and exchange support for EXP5000 PFDs and EX5000 MFDs, as well as sustaining manufacture of related circuit cards and subassemblies.
Repair and service of Avidyne’s EXP5000 PFDs will be fully transitioned to Extant within the next thirty days, and customers will not experience any interruption in service or delays in quoted turn-around times.
All repairs and support for Avidyne's legacy 5-RR Flight Situation Display (FSDs), FlightMax® 440, 450, 640, 650, 740, 750, 800, 850, 950 and EX500-series MFDs will continue to be provided by Duncan Aviation of Lincoln, NE
All EX600 MFD repairs will continue to be handled by Avidyne through our Melbourne repair facility.
