R9 Training Seminar by ANFST
To ensure Cirrus owners enjoy the full system capabilities and the associated flight safety, the Avidyne National Flight Standards Team (ANFST) has formed to provide R9 customers with a high level of professional pilot training that you won’t want to miss. This seminar, which is being offered at no charge by Cliff Izer and the ANFST team, will focus on a full systems operational review and, drawing on the extensive experience of this select independent group of professional flight instructors, will share IFR safety and procedural tips utilizing this amazing integrated flight deck system. The Avidyne National Flight Standards Team (ANFST) is truly unique. This independent group of professional flight instructors was formed to assist Avidyne with transitioning pilots to their newly announced and now widely accepted Revision 9 avionics platform. They have expanded their support role since forming to include demonstration support and for providing a feedback channel to Avidyne's development and engineering staff. In addition they have developed, and are now administering, a professional level Basic (VFR) and Advanced (IFR) Transition Training Program (with FAA Industry Training Standards content) to support pilots moving to the new R9 system. The Team is a small and very select group located strategically throughout the country and Europe, to perform their training and support mission. With over 80,000 hours of total time and thousands of hours of glass panel pilot transition training experience, they are well suited to provide pilots with the very highest levels of training support. Each Team member has been recognized at various levels throughout the industry including the FAA, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA)), Cirrus Owners and Pilots Association (COPA), many industry publications, the National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI), the Society of Aviation Education Professionals (SAFE), and others.
