This role supports all aspects of product realization from product design controls to material acquisition to product build/test to delivery to returns. Activities include CAPA execution, complaint investigation, inspection and test method development, implementation of manufacturing process controls including process validation, supplier quality, and risk management. This role will also support the Quality Management System planning, executing, and finalizing special projects to continuously improve product and process quality.


  • Responsible of the Product Quality in all stages of the processes.
  • Manage all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team, suppliers, and customer warranties.
  • Identify root cause and instigate permanent corrective actions for product quality issues.
  • Carry out product and process auditing.
  • Implement and maintain statistical process controls.
  • Monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators, analyze them and provide data for decision making process and quality improvements.
  • Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process or system.
  • Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), and Measurement System Analysis.
  • Ensure control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained.
  • Generate procedures, process alerts, deviations, purges, and other process documentation.
  • Provide New Product Introduction support to the product team, suppliers and customers.
  • Responsible for sustaining and improving process, product, and component performance.
  • Developing quality plans, write product test procedures.
  • Develop and maintain Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
  • Provide weekly Management level reports and analysis on customer and process level Quality data and information.
  • Undertake continuous training and development of quality awareness
  • Providing engineering support in procedural development and change order analysis.
  • Lead quality teams in an effort to drive high product quality and continuous improvement and increased customer satisfaction.
  • Perform Internal Quality Audits.
  • Responsible of keep updated the AVL and manage, analyze and publish performance metrics for key suppliers.
  • Participate in establishing ISO 9001 and AS9100 internal controls.
  • Responsible of keep calibrated the measurement devices of the company and maintain updated the calibration database.
  • Lead the MRB review and disposition process.
  • Lead FRACAS reviews and product improvement projects.
  • Recommending DFM or DFT analysis for quality improvement and cost reduction.
  • Facilitate ECO implementation providing analysis, approval, and verification.
  • Occasional travel between company, customer, or supplier facilities.
  • Other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct supervision to quality inspectors.
  • Must have ability to effectively plan and prioritize multiple processes to achieve high quality performance and efficiency.
  • Provide technical / procedural / process direction to inspectors, technicians and entry level Engineers.
  • Must have ability to delegate and manage junior engineers and technicians as required.
  • Communicate efficiently throughout the production floor and provide guidance to other team members.
  • Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers.
  • Must be capable of acting in Management capacity when required.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610. IPC J-STD-001 desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable in ISO9001/AS9100 Quality System requirements.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years in quality, process, and/or supplier engineering
  • 3+ years experience working within an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment.
  • 6 Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred.
  • ISO auditor certification desired.
  • IPC-A-610 certification desired.
  • Aviation/FAA knowledge desired.
